Our Story
DFW HVAC was founded in 2020 as the natural evolution of a three-generation family commitment to trustworthy, high-quality HVAC service in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex.
That commitment began in 1972 when my grandfather, Garland Nevil, started A-1 Air Conditioning & Heating, and continued through my father, Ronny Grubb, who spent more than 50 years building Alpine Heating & Air Conditioning on honest assessments, fair pricing, and meticulous workmanship.
I grew up learning the trade at his side before pursuing a corporate career, but I was ultimately drawn back by a desire to make a direct, meaningful impact in my community.
That resolve was cemented after witnessing an elderly customer being misled and overcharged by a large HVAC company—an experience that revealed how often profit had begun to outweigh care, transparency, and craftsmanship in the industry.
In 2019, I left the corporate world to return to the field full-time, combining my family’s hard-earned technical expertise with modern systems, training, and processes designed to support technicians and protect customers.
I founded DFW HVAC to empower skilled professionals to deliver expert service with integrity and care—earning trust through transparent recommendations, excellent workmanship, and a customer-first experience that puts people, safety, and long-term satisfaction ahead of short-term gains.
